“Don’t ask what the world needs.
Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it.
Because what the world needs
is people who have come alive.” -Howard Thurman
I started at the Pacific Ocean in Huntington Beach, California on February 20 ...
... and after 2,604 miles, 1498 photos, 46 days,
10 states, 9 flat tires, 4 pairs of sunglasses (I kept breaking them), 2 cross-country bicyclists I met and
1 pair of cycling socks,
I arrived at the Atlantic Ocean in St. Simons Island, Georgia on April 6. :)

About Steve
My name is Steve Garufi. I am an avid cyclist, hiker, photographer
and "Colorado poster child" in the Rocky Mountains.
I biked across America once in 2008,
and am so grateful to no longer be a "one hit wonder" with this second cross-country tour under my belt. :)
Although the tour is over, you're welcome to stay connected
with me on Facebook,
Twitter or
Google Plus.
If you are interested in bicycling across America,
I want these pages to inspire you! -Steve
